The "Kampeska Kampout", hosted by the Vintiques Car Club, can trace its roots to the early 1980's when weekend rod runs were the thing. The home base in those days was Watertown's Stokes Thomaas Park on the shores of Lake Kampeska. Now, the event is headquartered at Memorial Park and there may be a little less camping than there was in those earlier years. But over 40 years in, the Kampeska Kampout is still going strong, bringing in several hundred cars every September.
The Vintiques obviously know how to do a Rod Run right!
